I remember first seeing the Smartflower back in 2016 during a solar energy convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. I’m not going to lie first seeing this contraption I thought to myself, “These people are doing too much”. The thing looked bulky, I saw a lot of moving parts making it prone to mechanical errors, and the thing just seemed out of place under the fluorescent lights of a convention hall.
Then I saw the Smartflower outside and my thoughts on it started to change. Under the suns natural rays the Smartflower looked at home. Almost like a mechanical tree or sunflower, as the name suggests. Definitely looked like something from the future. It’s truly a remarkable thing when human technology mimics mother natures designs.

The SmartFlower is a fully integrated, all-in-one solar system that is designed to live in any environment under the sun.
SmartFlower’s smart tracking makes the most of the sun’s rays in the waning hours of daylight. Once the sun goes down, SmartFlower automatically folds itself back into a secure position and waits for sunrise.
SmartFlower combines several smart features into one sophisticated package with the goal of maximizing its efficiency and making it nearly effortless to own. The SmartFlower’s array of sensor monitor sunlight & weather conditions that that it moves and behaves exactly like a sunflower without any human intervention.
SmartFlower’s smart tracking enables the solar panels to move based on the sun’s position to make the most of the sun’s rays in the waning hours of daylight. Once the sun goes down, SmartFlower automatically folds itself back into a secure position and waits for sunrise.
Every time SmartFlower unfolds itself, tiny brushes on the back of each panel brush dust off the one underneath it, ensuring each panel is able to produce optimal amounts of energy from the sun.

With it’s weatherproof design and sensors that continuously monitor wind speeds, SmartFlower automatically prevents system damage from adverse weather conditions by folding into a secure position until conditions improve.
